How to apply to attend the market and details about how it operates.
Individuals and establishments will need to register themselves and their products in order to apply to attend the markets at Usk. The first step is to complete and submit the form at this link.
The form is used to establish accurate information about your operation and contact details. If the application is accepted an individual web page on the Usk Farmers' Markets website will be generated.
The Market operation
After the application process is complete, markets may be booked using an online form. Markets are booked, in advance, on a quarterly basis with the current form at this link and for markets for the first quarter 2020 at this link
The booked markets will be confirmed, a stall reserved and a confirmation email will be sent to you.

The market takes place on the first and third Saturday of each month and is scheduled to run between 10.00 am to 13.00 pm although there is usually an early morning rush of customers so it is advised for stallholders to be ready to trade by 9.30am.
The cost of attending is £25 per market and payments are require 2 weeks prior to booked markets in order for the reservations to be confirmed. Invoices are issued via email and the preferred method of payment is by bank transfer. Banking details are included on the invoices. Other methods of payment can be negotiated.
There are two areas: inside the hall with 6' X 2 1/2' tables provided or outside with 8' X 4' covered stalls. Electricity is available in both areas on request.
An early start this morning. - the early lambing ewes need checking and the driver of a sheep feed lorry was ringing at 5.40 asking for directions. Yes 5.40 !! John was dragged from bed to unload a tonne of ewe nuts before most alarm clocks have rung !! Lambing has started - 9 lambs so far including an unexpected set of triplets (the scanning lady missed those !)

Mark has contacted to say there will be no fish this week due to the recent storms with no catches being landed.
The hint of some drier weather next week is very welcome news and I sincerely hope it actually happens. The ground conditions are SO wet now. Graham is struggling to get feed to the pigs on the quad bike and the hens' feet are so muddy we are struggling to keep the eggs clean. It's hard on the early lambing ewes - the constant wet puts a lot of pressure on especially the ones carrying twin
